Toy Library & Time-to-Learn Program

“Almost all creativity involves purposeful play.” – Abraham Maslow

In partnership with the Philippine Toy Library and Books for the Barrios, we provide a safe space for children where they can play, read, and write. The Toy Library is a venue where children can learn important social skills and form experiences that are crucial to their holistic development. The Time-to-Learn program provides fun learning activities and basic literacy tutorials for children aged 4 to 6 years old to prepare them for formal schooling. This program is being implemented in Brgy. Batia, Bocaue, Bulacan, and in Helping Land, Tondo, Manila.

During the height of the pandemic and community lockdowns, we implemented the Time-to-Learn program through a modular mode of learning. We provided the lessons and activities to the children through printed modules and they study them at home, with the help of their parents. Currently, in accordance with the Covid-19 health protocols, we implement a hybrid set-up where we conduct face-to-face classes three times a week, and at-home modules twice a week.
