Athletes from Elite NSW taught basketball skills and techniques to 30 scholars in Bulacan. Aside from learning about basketball, it was a great opportunity to build camaraderie and friendship, and to have cultural exchange between Filipinos and Filipino-Australians.

“Elite NSW is a development-focused basketball program supporting young athletes from Australia. Our touring group consists of players aged approximately 12-19 years old, along with coaches and support staff. The Manila tour is a special experience for our athletes, not only from a sporting perspective, but also culturally. It’s a privilege for them to represent their program overseas, and we are very intentional about ensuring the tour goes beyond basketball.
As part of this experience, we would love to donate our time and any gathered donations to a community program that would be suitable and meaningful for our group. Our hope is to contribute in a way that is respectful, age-appropriate for our players, and genuinely helpful to the community we’re visiting.”
