April 22, 23 & 24, an Orthopedic Medical Mission in partnership with our long-time partner, The Ruth Sembrano Foundation, was held in PEARLS communities. We thank the amazing orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Joseph Daniels, for sharing his expertise with the community. A total of 60 patients in Tondo, Manila; Bocaue, Bulacan; and Naic, Cavite were assisted with their bone-related concerns and general check-ups.
To better equip PEARLS staff and core volunteers, Dr. Joseph also facilitated First Aid Training sessions, which included splinting techniques and CPR. Thank you so much to Dr. Joe, the Ruth Sembrano Foundation, and our core volunteers for making this medical mission happen. This is an integral step in bringing healthcare and health education closer to the grassroots.
