Scholars of the Week: Rica, France, and Juliana

From Ulingan to Anihan: A Journey of Resilience, Flavor, and Dreams.

Eleven years ago, three young girls from Ulingan, Tondo became PEARLS scholars. Since 2012, we have watched Rica, France, and Juliana grow—not just in school, but through every workshop, training, and life lesson. They faced hardships early on, but they never let it dim their spark.

Today, they are writing a bright new chapter! As technical-vocational students at Anihan Technical School in Laguna, they are mastering Culinary Arts and Restaurant Services. From precise knife cuts to the art of service, they are being shaped into future professionals of the food and beverage industry. Each recipe learned and each table set is a step toward a future filled with promise and independence.

Their journey is proof that with a full support and unyielding courage, dreams can rise from the ashes and turn into beautiful, flavorful realities.
