Strengthening Our Commitment to Protect Every Child
Project PEARLS is honored to partner with the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) for the Makabata Helpline 1383 through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
This partnership marks a shared commitment to uphold and protect the rights of every Filipino child. Under Executive Order No. 79, s. 2024, CWC leads the implementation of child protection policies and operates the Makabata Helpline 1383 — a national reporting and referral system for children in need of special protection.
Present during the MOU signing were Undersecretary Angelo M. Tapales, PDO IV Atty. David Vergara, PDO III Ms. Cathy Cabalonga, and Mr. Meanard Ilagan, Project Development Officer II.
Together, we aim to strengthen inter-agency collaboration, empower communities, and ensure that every child knows they are heard, protected, and cared for.
