On May 20, 2025, PEARLS social work interns conducted a heartfelt Parental Development Session with 50 parents of our scholars. This workshop is a recognition and affirmation of their journey as parents. Whether they are raising their children with a partner or as single parents, this workshop aims to understand the challenges that they face and to celebrate their successes.
The session encouraged open sharing and reflection to reassure them that their love, sacrifices, and everyday efforts are seen and heard. We are deeply grateful to our CMU Interns for creating this safe and supportive space, and to all the parents who continue to walk alongside us in building a brighter future for their children.
