On May 15, 2025, 30 scholars participated in an engaging Gender Equality Workshop facilitated by CMU Social Work Interns. The session aimed to raise awareness and promote understanding of gender equality among youth. Through interactive discussions and activities, the scholars explored key concepts such as gender roles, gender stereotypes, and gender-based discrimination.
They also learned about gender rights, including the right to equal treatment, safety, and self-expression. The workshop encouraged critical thinking and empathy, empowering participants to challenge harmful norms and become advocates for equality and respect in their schools and communities.
