Hunger Relief Sponsored by Books for the Barrios

January 21, 2023

Last Saturday was a special day as we welcomed our long-time partners and friends, Dan Harrington and Nancy Stowe Harrington of BOOKS for the BARRIOS, to our Tondo, Manila community. They have supported our educational programs for over a decade.

Their first visit to Tondo last weekend truly left a lasting impression on them. Thanks to their generosity, we were able to serve hundreds of servings of rice, ground pork with mixed vegetables, Century Tuna fried balls, and bananas. After the feeding, kids actively participated in the Brain Booster program with the help of our volunteers.

Thank you so much, Dan and Nancy, for making a meaningful impact in our community! We are also grateful to Century Pacific Food Inc. for the canned goods, and Unilab for the vitamins! And the families are so thankful to receive onions and bell peppers from MAYANI, through our partner, SOS Philippines!

Your Php 40 (less than $1) can provide a balanced meal of rice, protein, vegetables, and fruits for a child. This meal can be their only healthy and complete meal for the day.Help us save children from hunger.
