Project Pearls After School Program

“Children nurtured in kindness learn the value of understanding. Children taught to be self-sufficient, to respect others, to value education and to build life up rather than to tear it down will become adults capable of leading us to a brighter future. For (as Karl Menninger noted) what’s done to children, they will do to society.”
― Steve Goodier
And we are on our third lesson for English!
Every week, we make sure that PEARLS children– scholars and non-scholars– are learning well from us. We want to ensure that we are helping them improve their academic knowledge.
Before our learning session begins, feeding comes first so they can have enough energy to enjoy and understand this day’s lesson.
After the feeding, kids who wanted to join our ASP, fell in line again outside the courtyard while the volunteers clear the area and prepare the learning materials.
Volunteer-teachers are then divided per grade level and have a chance to review the day’s lesson for their assigned scholars.
Kids re-entered the courtyard for an hour of learning!
Thank you so much to our feeding sponsor, Adrian Soco!
Happy happy birthday! We greatly appreciate your generosity! Thank you for joining us this morning together with your friends!
And to all our volunteer-teachers, thank you so much!
