Dancing, Dancing Pt. 3

DANCING, DANCING PT.3

This post was written on December 27, 2013

Ulingan, the town among the charcoal factories, is where it all started.

And this is where we spent our Christmas Eve, otherwise my momma’s and my last day. As you can see, there was more dancing, even more kids, and hey! and Santa came to town.

In the midst of all the garbage and smoke, the Project PEARLS team managed to make another joyous celebration. We not only provided the families lunch, a dinner pack for Christmas, and presents, we also went around the charcoal factories to pass out lunch and soap for the workers.

We’ve been with Ulingan for a few years now so the children here are a lot more comfortable with us. (Comfortable enough to call me Ate Kikay instead of Ate Chi Chai -.-) But without a doubt, a good comfortable. We help each other to help their community and, as my momma said, we were called to do so.

Unti next time, Philippines!
