Our Hunger Relief in Helping Land, Tondo this morning was dedicated to a real-life hero from the US — Mia Zandoval Ramos. This was dedicated to her by Mr. Manuel Ramos to honor her dedication and hard work to help Fil-Ams embrace their Filipino heritage, culture, and language. She also selflessly commits herself to extend a hand to her community. And today, through the help of her family, she was able to expand her heart to 300 children and families in our community.
Healthy and hearty breakfast meals of misua with sardines, rice, hard-boiled eggs, and bananas were served by our community volunteers.
Thank you so much for filling the tummies of hundreds of families, Mia! We appreciate your kindness, compassion, and love for our country.
