Session 1:

Our LitClub kids Zamboanga Sibugay learned about the purposes of different speeches.
The main purpose of giving or delivering speeches is to inspire people, to keep them going and motivated and for them to learn something new or to hear good and exceptional stories.

After that short lesson, they were given the task of creating their own speeches for their chosen purposes.

Session 2:

The kids learned the different techniques they must know in order to deliver a good speech.
Some of the techniques in presenting their speech are

1. Speak loudly and clearly…
2. Speak slowly and purposely..
3. Smile.
4. Make eye contact with your audiences or listeners.
5. Avoid fidgetting.
6. Take pauses or don’t rush.
Session 3: It’s time to present their speeches!

The first group presented their speeches using the Manila Paper. They wrote their original speech there and red it aloud in front.

While the second group memorized a speech given by their facilitator because they had a hard time creating one.

After the presentation was the read aloud time wherein the kids read the story in front.

As for the finale, the facilitator gave the summary and the moral lesson of the story.

Thank you so much to our partner Litworld.org for making this possible. And to all the kids in Zamboanga Sibugay, facilitators and volunteers, keep it up and may the best be with us all the time.
