Jen’s Story for World Social Workers Day and Women’s Month

Jen bravely shared a piece of her heart.

At Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center, in celebration of World Social Workers Day and Women’s Month, Jen stood before a room and spoke not just as a survivor, but as a woman who has journeyed through pain, healing, and hope.

As a cancer survivor, her story was not only about overcoming illness—it was about finding strength in the most fragile moments and choosing to rise, again and again.

Through her words, she reminded everyone that healing is not a straight path, but a courageous process filled with faith, resilience, and love. Her story touched lives, inspired hearts, and honored the quiet strength that so many women carry every day.

Jen is also one of our most hardworking scholars and next school year, she will be graduating from her degree course!

Jen’s journey is a testament that even in the darkest seasons, light can still find its way in.
