This is an urgent message. The coronavirus crisis and the community quarantines in the Philippines force children and families in our communities to starve. The pandemic has resulted in a severe economic and social crisis. The lockdowns and work closures have left thousands of our fellow Filipinos jobless. Most of them work in the informal sector as drivers, garbage scavengers, vendors, construction workers, and other daily-wage earners. The heartbreaking reality is that staying home for them means losing a day of work and losing meals for their families.
To ease this burden for the families and to ensure that children have at least one healthy meal in a day, we launched the Covid-19 Hunger Relief Program in three communities.
With the help of our community volunteers and heroes, we are able to serve hearty and healthy breakfast for hundreds of children:
With your help, we can save children from hunger and malnutrition. Send your gift today.
The budget to sponsor breakfast is Php 15,000 for 500 kids in Tondo, Bulacan, and Naic. To sponsor a feeding program, kindly e-mail us at [email protected]. You may also send any amount of donations here.
We are also in need of the following: rice, kids and adult multivitamins, fresh eggs, canned goods, fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh/frozen meat or fish, antibacterial soap, face masks, and alcohol. In-kind donations may be sent here:
